This high-quality poster is a digital restoration of a vibrant 1942 Mexican propaganda print by the artist Jose Bribiesca. The artwork is a powerful and patriotic statement of Mexico's stand against the Axis powers. It features a magnificent Golden Eagle—the national symbol of Mexico—alighting on a rocky outcropping, its wings spread as it tears a Nazi flag to shreds.

Behind the eagle, a beautiful mountain sunrise (or sunset) features a sky tinted green on one side and red on the other. This tricolor, combined with the white of the sun's rays and the eagle itself, cleverly recreates the colors of the Mexican flag. This is our own original restoration, faithfully preserving the details of the original painting. We have also restored the original text at the bottom, including the title, "MEXICO POR LA LIBERTAD" (Mexico For Liberty), and the full 1940s credits in a period-appropriate font.
