These Are The Names. This is The Place.

This poster is an act of resistance against the inhumanity of our modern immigration system. It depicts the Dade-Collier detention facility, a place some have called a concentration camp on American soil. The image itself is constructed from the text of over 700 names of the people who have been detained there. We use their names to build the image of their prison, refusing to let them be forgotten.

The quote from Hamlet—"Murder, though it have no tongue, will speak"—is a vow that the truth will come out. The American Anti-Man-Hunting League logo connects this modern struggle directly to the abolitionist cause of the 19th century. This is a piece from our modern Baker & Godwin series, continuing their legacy of fighting for the Union and its highest ideals.
