This t-shirt reimagines the 19th-century Wide Awakes movement as a modern brand, blending minimalist Japanese graphic design with a powerful historical legacy.

The Front: A clean, impactful logo lockup. A stylized, ever-watchful eye sits above two lines of bold, sans serif text: 創業一八六〇年 (Founded 1860) and 再興二〇二五年 (Revived 2025), explicitly bridging the past with the present moment. To the right, the movement is given its Japanese name in a strong vertical script: 不眠隊 (Fumintai), literally "Sleepless Corps," a Japanese translation of "Wide-Awakes."

The Back: The voice of the movement. The crossed axe and mallet evoke Abraham Lincoln's "Railsplitter" persona—a symbol of his connection to the common person. Above and below is a soul-stirring and fiery rhetorical question asked at an 1860 Wisconsin rally of Wide-Awakes, related to us by historians: "How long must they kick us, before we shall all be Wide-Awakes?" We chose to render this as: "一体いつまでやられっぱなしなんだ？今こそ皆で不眠隊になる時だろう！(literally "Just how long are we going to keep taking this abuse? Now is the time we should all become Wide-Awakes, surely!") It is a call to action for the vigilant, its intensity and righteousness both timeless and cross-cultural. This is more than a shirt; it's the uniform for the modern-day Wide-Awakes.
