In a time of unprecedented challenges to our democratic norms and institutions, we look to the past for inspiration. This custom metal pin is a faithful recreation of the hat insignia worn by the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), the brotherhood of Union soldiers who fought to preserve the nation during the Civil War.

More than just a historical replica, this pin is a modern symbol of our own solemn duty to defend the republic. The gold laurel wreath, a timeless emblem of victory and honor, encircles the silver "GAR," a reminder of the fraternity, charity, and loyalty that bound together those who answered the call to save the nation.

The gallant men of the GAR not only won the war but also dedicated their lives to the enduring principles of a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. They stood against division and for the unity of the republic.

Today, as we confront our own trials, this 1 1/2-inch pin with its secure butterfly clasps is a statement of where you stand. It is a testament to the belief that patriotism requires not blind allegiance, but a steadfast commitment to the ideals of liberty, justice, and the rule of law. Wear it with pride as a quiet but firm declaration of your commitment to protecting our republic for future generations.

Fantastic quality and great products. Definitely will buy more.

Very nice, well-made item. It is a smaller size than my original GAR/Wreath pins but that is fine as it is so nicely made and fits a forage cap perfectly. I am also using one for a black mourning ribbon/cockade. I have a couple from another vendor but it is very heavy and has plastic letters, these have metal letters that match the wreath.

Arrived right in time for the Fourth of July! We're reclaiming patriotism for the cause of Lincoln with this one, lads.
